Italian Ancestry per Aunt Geri's Emails #1
"My mom and dad were born in Monteneo Valcocchiero, Abruzzi. They were married in 1910. My mom was 16 and dad was 23.
He came to America shortly after that and I think mom came soon after. Her family settled in Chicago, but she and her brother, Uncle Dan, came to Erie, because that's where my dad's family came. It's a town in the mountain. We tried to get there, but we couldn't get anyone to take us. I have a picture of my dad when he was in the Italian army. I'll send you a picture of it when I get home."
